Professor Abdus Salam was the first Muslim scientist to win the Nobel prize. In 1979 he shared the Nobel Prize for physics with two other scientists for their independent development of a theory unifying the electromagnetic and the weak nuclear forces.
Born in Pakistan he established the international center for theoretical physics (ICTP) at Triest Italy, a knowledge hub for the scientists around the globe in the area of Physics and mathematics.
The Abdus Salam Science Fair is open to all students from Grades 5 to Grade 12. Enter your experimental projects, models, demonstrations, etc., and win prizes.
