From its inception, the Worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim community has always laid prime emphasis on the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa) that “Acquisition of knowledge is obligatory upon every Muslim man and woman.”

It was revealed to the Promised Messiah (as) that the members of his community will excel others in the fields of knowledge and wisdom. To recognize those who fulfill their obligation of seeking knowledge and are embodiment of the revelation of the Promised Messiah (as), it is Khalifa-tul Masih’s (aa) expressed desire to award such members of the community every year at Jalsa Sālāna “The scholars are the heirs of the Prophets. Money and wealth is never the heritage of the Prophets, rather their legacy is knowledge and wisdom“

“Our sole objective in establishing an academic institution is that its students should give precedence to religion over worldly matters. Contemporary secular education is being continued side by side just so that these disciplines of knowledge play a subservient role to religious learning. We do not want that people, after graduating from high school or college, should run after worldly pursuits. We expect them to dedicate their lives for the service of faith.”

The main purpose of the Abdus Salam Science Fair is to provide a vehicle for the students to engage in the process of science through an Experiment, Innovation or via Study.  This science fair is organized every year to recognize and celebrate the achievements of Noble Laureate Professor Dr. Abdus Salam, who was the first Muslim scientist to win the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1979.
